Wikipedia:Newbie Mission

These steps are designed to give new users an easy and fun introduction to Wikipedia.

Create an account. This is done clicking "create an account or log in" in the upper right hand corner and following the instructions.
Go to your user page. When logged in, this can be done by either clicking "control-." or by clicking your account name in the upper right hand corner of the page.
Write a paragraph about yourself on your user page. To do this click 'edit this page' and use the buttons at the top of the text field to accomplish the list of tasks until you learn the syntax. This paragraph should include the following:

A. An internal link to the town and country in which you live.

B. An external link to your favorite website.

C. One word in italics and one word in bold.

Add list with internal links to three of your hobbies or interests. To do this add a '*' at the beginning of each line of the list.
Go to the list of Featured Articles and pick one or two to read. This is an example of what a good article should be like.
Read up on Wikipedia policies and guidelines and etiquette.
Search for a subject you're interested in, and remember, be bold!
