[edit]Hi Pseudopanax! I have answered your questions from some time back on my page now. Ingolfson (talk) 20:58, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- PS: I suggest that instead of deleting old comments, you should archive them (look at my talk page for a very low-tech version of archival). It is not a requirement to archive old comments before deletion, but its polite and convenient. Cheers Ingolfson (talk) 20:58, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, saw them and thanks for the tip, Cheers, Pseudopanax (talk) 21:02, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Image:Syzygium maire (foliage & drupes).jpg
[edit]This image does not show the typical foliage or fruit of the New Zealand native Syzygium maire. It does however closely resemble the Australian Brush Cherry, S. australe. I have tagged it for a rename on Commons to Image:Syzygium australe.jpg. Kāhuroa (talk) 12:59, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, agreed, it looks more likely to be Syzygium australe - thanks! Pseudopanax (talk) 20:51, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Sign of the Kiwi
[edit]Hi there, you once set up an article for the Sign of the Kiwi and it got deleted. Just letting you know that I've resurrected it. Schwede66 19:04, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Not the gorge
[edit]Hi, you uploaded a lot of good pictures. One of them, Swing bridge over Waiohine Gorge.jpg had a wrong location. It shows definitely not the gorge bridge but the other bridge, upstream at the Totara Flats hut. I changed the name, the geolocs and the category, hoping that will be OK for you. -- sarang♥사랑 04:41, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
- I respectfully but wih certainty disagree, because I have never been further up the river. This is the bridge very close to the car park at the end of the road (check out where the road ends via Google Maps satellite photos) - only crossed the bridge to see what it's like and then returned - never actually walked further, so I am 100% certain of its location.
- However, I suggest since this photo is from 2006, that the bridge may have since been changed or upgraded.Pseudopanax (talk) 01:18, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
Critter of the Week / West Coast Reptiles
[edit]Hi there Pseudopanax; I've come across your edits from time to time, and was wondering if you'd be interested in helping with one or more Wikipedia projects I'm currently running?
- Critter of the Week: supporting the radio show that plays each Friday on RNZ, we try to make sure there's a reasonable Wikipedia article with photos for each NZ species discussed. The show has featured hundreds of plants, animals, and fungi, so there's plenty to do.
- West Coast Wikipedian at Large: from June to August this year we're improving Wikipedia, Commons, and Wikidata coverage around Lake Brunner, Te Wahipounamu, Ōpārara Arches, and Punakaiki. There's a small team of editors, weekly reports, and prizes for most or best edits.
- West Coast Reptiles Wikiblitz: an all-day hybrid event on 31 July 2002 focussed on the lizards of the West Coast, hopefully with help from DOC and some herpetologists.
If there's anything there that appeals, feel free to sign up; no pressure. Cheers, Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 04:27, 26 June 2022 (UTC)
