name
[edit]Is there a story behind the name? It's too funny to just leave it at that. I think this article deserves a special section dedicated to the band name. Red Plum 21:37, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Is their name actually all upper case? RickK 05:10, Sep 25, 2004 (UTC)
- Yes. It is general in Japan. 222.148.74.201 13:42, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- yeah, seriously. What's with the name? There should be a line on it! great.
I believe the name is supposed to mean "attack of the cowards."
- Yes, I added a note on the band's name, the translation from what they want to mean in Japanese, and a reference to a Japanese site talking about it. I'm not sure if Japanese sources are acceptable, but it's definitely a verifiable source and not a bad translation. Ryanalexmartin (talk) 02:33, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
- Your description of the name was deleted. It's not very clear why as the user simply said it wasn't good enough for verification, but non-english sources *are* allowed. Anyway that user has since been banned so we can't even ask exactly why.
- I checked the link and it doesn't seem to have that information on it anymore, wayback machine seemed not to help.
- If anyone has a good source for this information today, I encourage them to bring back the information about the band's name.

- Nonsensically, in the part of the article that describes the "meaning" of their name, it says "The band's name translates literally from Japanese as 'counterattack from the weak man'." But of course the name can't be "translated literally from Japanese" for the simple reason that it's already in English. If the band's name's meaning were something like "counterattack from the weak man", it would be called "Yowai Otoko no Hangeki", or some such. But it ain't. I think this should be re-written to something like "The explanation given by the band as to their name is that it means 'a counterattack from a weaker man'." Because it has nothing to do with "translation". Bricology (talk) 02:00, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
singles
[edit]In the list of the singles, should we have "supernova/karma" and "karma/supernova" as well as "sailing day/lost man" and "lost man/sailing day" as separate singles? At least supernova/karma has different hidden tracks and different release date (as well as changed play order of the two a-sides) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.225.36.10 (talk) 20:33, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Fujiwara solo album?
[edit]I know it's on their official site, but should it actually be on the Bump of Chicken page? At the very least, shouldn't it be in a different section, like "Soundtrack" or something? — TheBenignBovine| (talk) 06:52, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
Members
[edit]I found the source the person used for the Members section ([1]). However, I don't know how reliable the source is, since it doesn't cite anything, nor is am I confident enough in my Japanese skills to confirm everything written in the article is the same as on the page. — TheBenignBovine | (talk) 02:57, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

In "Songs in Popular Culture", would it be worth it to mention that Project Sekai added the song with a cover?
