1 Q?
[edit]Ya know how it says Holly only fired six shots? Well, she only fired 1 shot at Root. Therefore, she could have fired the other five into the motors.
- I revamped the plot, there's nothing about that anymore. IceUnshattered (talk) 22:20, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Éire/Ireland
[edit]I have changed the 'country' of this novel from Éire to Ireland. According to the Wikipedia article "Éire": "The name [Éire] was given in Article 4 of the 1937 Irish constitution to the Irish state, created under the 1921 Anglo-Irish Treaty, which was known between 1922 and 1937 as the Irish Free State. Article 4 stated that: "The name of the state is Éire, or, in the English language, Ireland." Article 8 states that Irish is the first official language.[1] Since 1949, the term Republic of Ireland has generally been used in preference to Éire, when speaking English." As this is an English-language encyclopedia, we should use the English-language name. Cdlw93 04:23, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
whole article
[edit]As with the plot summaries for books 2 and 3, this one is too long and poorly written. The section on the code also has some badly written bits. -144.132.24.90 10:28, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
- I know I'm replying after a year, but I just discovered this article and am working, paragraph by paragraph, to shorten the plot summary. IceUnshattered (talk) 20:50, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Continuity Errors
[edit]In the 3rd book Butler made the video disk while the group was in Chicago, and Artemis changed Mulch's warrant later. There are no continuity errors, edit needed? 68.200.64.170 (talk) 01:25, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- Um...I can't remember. For now I'll comment it out, and hopefully I will look at it over the weekend, given that my teachers don't decide to load me with homework. IceUnshattered [ t ] 01:52, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Cave
[edit]"After this, she progressed to trick Captain Holly Short and Commander Julius Root into a cave, where she straps a bomb onto Root's chest."
I have changed 'cave' to 'magma chute', but I feel that it needs a better description. If somebody could think of one, it would be much appreciated.
- I've revamped that whole section. I don't think anything about the magma chute is there anymore. IceUnshattered (talk) 22:11, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Spoilers and Intro
[edit]Where's the spoiler warning and why is the first bit, the intro before the plot section, in italics?
- First of all, sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~), please! Thank you. About the spoiler warning, Wikipedia:Content disclaimer clearly states across the top that "Wikipedia contains spoilers and content you may find objectionable". Also, Wikipedia:Spoiler states that "Therefore, Wikipedia carries no spoiler warnings except for the Content disclaimer and section headings (such as "Plot" or "Ending") which clearly indicate the presence of spoilers." Since the spoilers are all in the section labelled "Plot", I deem a spoiler warning unnecessary. What's in italics? I don't see anything; maybe it was reverted. Cover Gallery
[edit]Is the gallery of different covers really necessary? IceUnshattered (talk) 22:39, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think it's necessary - and, more importantly, I think that cover galleries are generally considered to break the fair use image policy. So we should really remove it. -- KittyRainbow (talk) 17:20, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- Okay. Thanks so much for your input. -goes to remove- IceUnshattered (talk) 19:36, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Code?
[edit]Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there also a version of the code that runs along the bottom of the page that is, and I quote, "A recruitment letter from the centaur Foaly, technical consultant to the Lower Elements," which can be found on the Gnommish page. Should there be something about this on the page? Ladywitchthought (talk) 06:57, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
[edit]Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. L I C K

If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
