According to the most recent classification update by the Angiosperm Phylogeny group, the Burmanniaceae are best placed with the Dioscoreales, and recent DNA evidence puts the Corsiaceae with the Liliales. They also place the Orchidaceae within the Asparagales, rather than in their own order.
