The result of the debate was KEEP (No clear consensus, may well be notable). Golbez 00:12, May 17, 2005 (UTC)
KEEP, have seen multiple developments from this engine. Although not a viable competitor today, still a page in the history of RPG's and young gaming development. This is a "noteable" engine worthy of recordkeeping.

Non-notable, non-complete unpublished software: should be deleted Rich Farmbrough 10:02, 7 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Buh-bye. A generic comment about a generic article. hydnjo talk 03:36, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete, no notability. K1Bond007 05:30, May 8, 2005 (UTC)
- Comment disagree on notability. Product does exist (vers 1.0 and 2.0 are finished and 3.0 is in beta) and has been used to create finished and playable games. "VERGE engine" via Google yields 466K, "VERGE game" 778K, however "VERGE vecna" only 1.4K. Probably will never be labeled 'complete' and will almost certainly never be published in solid state, creating bizarre limbo in terms of Wiki Is Not Crystal Ball. Notable IMO, and needs expanding (which I have done), but still may not belong here.
No vote. Marblespire 06:31, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply] - Keep. I don't know what you guys consider "notable", but how can Verge be considered "non-notable" when it provided a (albeit incomplete) product/service at a time when there was no equivelent toolkit software available to english speaking people? It may be obscure, and more deserving of mention in an article on the "history of homebrew RPG development", but by all means, don't let a portion of internet history go to the wayside. 66.1.102.198 07:20, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- PS that's a friend of mine, who I asked to contribute because he knows more about VERGE than I do. Marblespire
- Keep. Seems to be a real game. You don't find it listed in online stores because it's available for free. --Tokek 20:00, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- No, it's not a real game, it's a game creation tool. There are quite a bunch of those, and most of them never get anywhere. Google test seems appropriate. Delete unless notability established. Radiant_* 13:22, May 9, 2005 (UTC)
- Disagree "never get anywhere," as this software has been successfully used, which many others can't claim. But how many games has it actually produced? A dozen or so. But if we have RPG Maker, we should probably have this. Weak Keep. Marblespire 07:38, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment. Searching for Verge RPG vecna -"die, vecna, die" -"hand of vecna" -"systems of the verge" -lich gives about 1200 hits from Google. Make of this as you may. A Man In Black 06:28, 9 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Not notable. Jayjg (talk) 21:13, 12 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
