Hello. By adding a link to the Coptic Orthodox Church web site to the list at the bottom of the Eastern Orthodoxy article without a comment stating that it is not one of the canonical Eastern Orthodox churches may create an erroneous impression in the reader's mind that it is one of them. I added a comment. Michael Hardy 21:23, 26 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Hello. It seems that wise mike added the link in eastern orthodoxy page by mistake as the words Oriental and Eastern are the same in Arabic Language.

My mistake. --Slowking Man 00:45, Oct 9, 2004 (UTC)

Would you be able to upload a copy of this image without the "St-Takla.org" tagline in the corner? It's a little distracting. Thanks. --Slowking Man 00:45, Oct 9, 2004 (UTC)

Hi Mike,

Just to let you know that you are getting overenthusiastic on adding links to your Coptic Orthodox Church site. If you don't get round to it first, I'll tidy them up when I get some time. There are a couple that are relevant, but many such as the links on architecture and color are way off the mark. It might help to look over the guidelines at Wikipedia:External links. -- Solipsist 21:12, 16 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not use Wikipedia to increase the popularity of a site you own or just like. Jdavidb 19:28, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry.. I noticed this mistake.. especially that of "color" page.. but that of Architecture is on the right place as there is Islamic Architecture at the same page too.. Anyway.. I'll be more careful with that next time.. thx for the note.. wise_mike , 6 September 2005 (UTC)

Mike, please see these discussions:

Thanks for the note A. B. I have added a reply to the discussions page, please check it out. And please note that it is not a spam by any ways, maybe at the very begining I was a bit enthusiastic about the Wikipedia idea, but afterwords I mainly never resubmitted links that were removed, and in the past couple of years I added just 2 links. Of course if this is making any kind of issues, I'd totally respect a decision of not adding any more links. Or I can suggest them to one of the editors.. Please also deliver this to those associated with this issue. Thanks. Wise_Mike (talk) 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 21:20, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
