Right, I hope I haven't annoyed anyone by swapping round the redirect, but the previous structure seemed illogical in that it redirected from a page that did match the normal hierarchy to one that did not. In other words, the choice of Newports given on the Newport disambiguation page seemed to be a sensible structure, but when you clicked on the Gwent one you were redirected to something outside the structure. And this isn't the only one in S Wales, if you count Newport Pembs! Anyway, hope this is OK - and if the redirect system works as I think it does, it should have no ill effects anyway - right?? :) -Nevilley.
No, I was totally wrong, I've put all it back.
The structure on the Newport disambiguation page is wrong - it's not in Gwent any more. Doh!
