Counties remaining to do
old status info
- London borough
- each one has an acceptable map. Also some others at Outer London etc. They will do for the moment, may need making consistent with the others later + the current ones are noncommercial.
- Northern Ireland
- a modified UK locator map, with rest of UK highlighted and NI especially highlighted. I would have done the same for the above, except it is much easier for NI as it is detached.
- Regions of England
- each has a cool stylised map, and its numbered, has a key.
- Ceremonial counties of England
- the major page has a numbered map
- Administrative counties of England
- has a map on the page with the current boundaries, and the 1974 ones.
- locator maps status are as follows
- all counties with county councils, and all metropolitan counties have neato maps - see North Yorkshire
- the following unitary authorities have maps: East Riding of Yorkshire, County of York, County of Peterborough, County of Swindon, County of Milton Keynes, Rutland, Isle of Wight, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, Medway Towns, Telford and Wrekin, Blackburn with Darwen. The remaining ones are too small to see. I've made an example of a 'zoom' at Bristol, and will use that for other ones, but it is very timeconsuming.
- former administrative counties.
- County of Avon, Humberside, Hereford and Worcester, Cleveland all have maps with the 1974 borders showing.
- Districts of England
- Districts of Berkshire, Leicestershire, West Midlands, Greater Manchester, South Yorkshire, [[West Yorkshire], Merseyside, Tyne and Wear all have locator maps within the county
- Greater Manchester has a numbered map of boroughs
- Subdivisions of Scotland
- numbered map, and locator maps for each subdivision
- Subdivisions of Wales
- numbered map, and locator maps for each subdivision
- Preserved counties of Wales
- numbered map, and locator maps for each subdivision
- Traditional counties of Wales
- map for all of them except Anglesey, and Pembrokeshire, which just have the modern map.
- Traditional counties of England
- Yorkshire, Cumberland, Westmorland, Huntingdonshire, Sussex, Middlesex now use the new map format. I have locator maps for every traditional county.
