If you are going to vote for deletion on a LEGITIMATE page, then just take the whole site down. I will also work very hard to make sure that people understand the tyrannical way people vote anything away regardless of a person's contributions to the Web community as a whole. Matt has done so much for so many, yet because he misposted a page ONE YEAR AGO, the article I posted on his behalf is marked for deletion! That is so sad.

Once again, this was a legit article done to spec in every way. But whatever, that is just really unfortunate and people will hear about this.

If you are honorable people, you will at the very least post an apology for this act of stupidity. I tend to doubt however, that this will happen though.

• You chose to blank out the VfD that certainly appears to be to hide the fact that this page had been deleted in the past. Then you inserted advertising and vanity into Xandros and MEPIS. It's hard to believe this is all in good faith. Wikibofh 22:53, 14 May 2005 (UTC)

Advertising and vanity? It is public knowledge that he has done work with both distributions and the reason the other was deleted was because it should have been a long time ago IMO. It reflects poorly on him and I doubt he would appreciate that being it was likely a mistake being he apparently did not understand how this works.

It is also apparent that these rules are basically rules of convenience since it is supposedly 'encouraged' for people add and delete relevant links and other content. The additions to both Linux distributions were legit and within the 'so called' guidelines. I want this page taken down, it is obvious that this is some attempt to create a 'boys only club' much like we see everyday with Slashdot. I would really hate to see him find this and feel baddly because I thought this was trully a community environment. Submissions are accepted so long as you are 'part of the club. I am not interested and will request once again, take this down. I am appalled at this whole situation. Once again, please remove all of this immediately. Next time, consider a more effective moderation in place of the 'let's humiliate people' stamps being used now. I can't believe how absurd this whole thing is. Seriously, take it down. I am embarrassed to think I thought this was was a truly community environment.
