How do I...?
[edit]How do I add my location and interests (and a quote!) to the top of my user page like this user: Kuru
Hello! and Questions.
[edit]Hello there. I hope someone actually reads this! ;-) I'm sort of new to Wikipedia, but now that I've had some time to snoop around, I absolutely love the way it works and want to contribute my *ahem* expertise on a couple of subjects. I have been a professional lease purchase real estate investor for almost ten years now. I want to be as open as possible about my good intentions, thus you should know that I run a commercial website about this very topic. Please believe me, I am sincere and objective. The free exchange of information on Al Gore's Inter-Tubes is a very strong belief I have. In fact, I wouldn't be where I am today without it. Sorry to carry on, but it needed to be said.
Lease purchase and lease option are different (and very common) ways of saying lease with option to purchase as it relates to real estate investing.
I created this article back in March of 2006: Lease purchase contract, which I believe should be removed and/or merged with Lease option. I am also interested in creating another article called Lease purchase (strangely, this link goes to something called Hire purchase), which should also be merged with Lease option.
So before I begin editing the existing articles and ask my other questions, how would I go about merging the articles to begin with. Or is this not possible?
Thanks so much! Jeff_B 16:44, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- Please read WP:MERGE (to merge articles) and WP:EDIT (for help in editing pages in general). To change Lease purchase from a redirect, edit this page. Hoof Hearted 17:01, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
Thank you, Hoof Hearted. :-) Jeff_B 11:28, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
Think I've got it!

Citations
[edit]I noticed you're having some trouble putting citations in articles for verification. Check out Wikipedia:Footnotes. It's a nice quick way to link your sources to the text you add to articles. :)) Happy editing! --Busy Stubber 05:03, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the input! Most of what I edit is just going from general knowledge of the subject, but I'll definitely read the citations page you recommended. I'm almost overwhelmed at how much there is to know about Wikipedia, and I think that's why I keep coming back. ;-) Thanks again! Jeff_B 13:56, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
